महेन्द्रनीलद्युतिकोमलाङ्गीं मातङ्गकन्यां सततं स्मरामि ॥१॥

</heading>
<p text="A" lang="sa">I constantly contemplate the daughter of
Matanga having a beautiful body shining like
sapphire, languid with intoxication, singing
melodiously and playing gracefully on the
Veena set with rubies.
 
</p>
<verse text="M" lang="sa">चतुर्भुजे चन्द्रकलावतंसे कुचोन्नते कुङ्कुमरागशोणे ।
पुण्ड्रेक्षुपाशाङ्कुशपुष्पबाणहस्ते नमस्ते जगदेकमातः ॥ २॥

<p text="A" lang="sa">Oh! mother of the whole universe! my
salutations unto Thee who is endowed with four
hands and lofty breasts, who holds the red-
sugarcane, rope, spear and flower-arrows in her
hands, who has the digit of the moon for her
crest-jewel and whose body is red with saffron.
