Mahabharata (Santi., 343) says: "As my colour is dark-
blue, I am called Krishna, O Arjuna."

Lohitaksha (protect) me."

Vya. The Sruti says (Kath. Up., 2-24): "To him the
Brahmana and Kshattriya classes are food"; and the
Vedanta Satras also say (1-2-9): "He is the eater of the
movable and immovable ones.".
