म्बन्धोस्ति तत्र तत्सम्बन्धानुभव इत्यर्थात् । घटत्वेपि घटसम्बन्धो-
स्तीति नाव्याप्तिः ॥ सेति । यथार्थानुभव एव शास्त्रे प्रमेत्युच्यत
इत्यर्थः ॥ अयथार्थं लक्षयति । तदभाववतीति ॥ नन्विदं संयोगीति
प्रमायामतिव्याप्तिरिति चेन्न । यदवच्छेदेन यत्सम्बन्धाभावस्तदव-
च्छेदेन तत्सम्बन्धज्ञानस्य विवक्षितत्वात् । संयोगाभावावच्छेदेन
संयोगज्ञानस्य भ्रमत्वात् । संयोगावच्छेदेन संयोगज्ञानस्य प्रमात्वा-
न्नातिव्याप्तिः ॥
यथार्थानुभवश्चतुर्विधः प्रत्यक्षानुमित्युपमिति-
शाब्दभेदात् । तत्करणमपि चतुर्विधं प्रत्यक्षानुमा-
नोपमानशब्दभेदात् ॥ ३५ ॥

यथार्थानुभवं विभजते । यथार्थेति ॥ प्रसङ्गात्प्रमाकरणं विभ-
जते । तत्करणमिति । प्रमाकरणमित्यर्थः । प्रमाकरणं प्रमाणमिति
प्रमाणसामान्यलक्षणम् ॥
व्यापार
व्यापारवदसाधारणं कारणं करणम् । अनन्य-
थासिद्धकार्यनियतपूर्ववृत्ति कारणम् । कार्य प्रागभा-
वप्रतियोगि ॥ ३६ ॥
तज्जन्यत्वे सति तज्जन्यजनकः व्याया
करण, व्यापार, फल- प्रत्यक्ष
करणलक्षणमाह । असाधारणेति । साधारणकारणे दिक्कालादा-
वतिव्याप्तिवारणायासाधारणेति ॥ कारणलक्षणमाह । कार्येति ।
पूर्ववृत्तिकारणमित्युक्तेरासभादावतिव्याप्तिः स्यादतो नियतेति । ता
35. 'Right notion is of four kinds, through the divisions of Per-
ceptions, Inferences, Conclusions from similarity and authoritative
Assertions understood. The efficient [ peculiar ] cause of those, also
is of four kinds, through the divisions of Perception, . Inference,
Recognition of similarity and authoritative Assertion."
36. • Whatever thing, through its operating, is the cause, not com-
mon to all effects, of some given effect, that is the instrumental cause
thereof. That which is invariably antecedent to some product, and
is not otherwise constituted [is not by any thing else-except the
result in question-constituted a cause । is the cause (of that product).
That which annuls its own antecedent non-existence is called an Effeet.
