The Sahityakanṭakoddhāra

The work has three sections on

I.

Subanta (i.e. nouns)

2.

Tinanta (i.e. verbs), and
3. Krdanta (Participles).

Within the Tinanta portion there is a sub-section
with the title: Atha Padavyavasthā. See Note 185.
The MSS. and B are Paper manuscripts in
Devanagari characters. MSS. C, D & E
are in
Palm-leaf and in Telugu characters. Manuscript
F is in paper MS. in Grantha characters.

MS. A is complete, and the others are almost
complete, as explained in Note 239. MS A has
many mistakes. All others have a few mistakes.
As I could get only the transcripts of the MSS
C, D, & E, I am unable to give any details
regarding the number of leaves, lines etc. of these
manuscripts.

Excepting one or two places (see for instance
Note 163), on the whole the Manuscripts were good
and helpful in the editing of the work.

I am grateful to the authorities of the Govern-
ment Oriental Manuscripts Library, Madras, and
of the Adyar Library and Research Centre, Madras,
who were kind enough to supply me with the
Manuscripts, the details of which are noted earlier.
