and tenacity in debates, come again for Sāstrārtha.

The Sāstrārtha continues for 30 days. In the end, once

again Śrī Vyāsa Tīrtha emerges as victorious. It is,

indeed, a great victory for it is a victory upon a

group of scholars coming from the various centres

of learning in the country. Another great virtue of

Śrī Vyāsa Tīrtha is his generosity. He gives away many

villages and other gifts that are in the possession of

the mutt, to the deserving scholars.

During his stay in Vijayanagar, Śrī Vyāsa Tīrtha

also contributes a lot for the spread of Dharma. By

his constant preaching of Dharma, people are enlightened

about the necessity of leading a life in accordance

with the Śrutis and Smṛtis. His tattvopadeśa causes

an awareness among the people that Haribhakti is the

only means of emancipation.

Following the demise of the king Narasa, his worthy

son Vīranarasimha becomes the ruler of the empire.

He too holds Śrī Vyāsa Tīrtha in high esteem. Śrī

Tātparya chandrika, Nyāyāmṛta and Tarkatāṇḍava.

His fame spreads beyond the boundaries of the empire.

Prominent political personalities sent by the rulers of

the other countries visit him and offer gifts on behalf

of their kings. The king Vīra Narasimha who is constantly

observing the enormous spiritual power of Śrī Vyāsa

Tīrtha with which he holds a sway over the people,

is struck with awe and he worships him with more

devotion than his father.

In due course, Śrī Kṛṣṇa Devaraya the illustrious

emperor of Vijayanagara
