Lord Śrī Kṛṣṇa appeared before him as Bālagopālakṛṣṇa

and danced a lovely dance. Once, while Srī Vyāsa

Tīrtha was engaged in writing his philosophical work,

goddess Saraswati appeared and blessed him with a

Mani-Lekhit a precious pen. It also heard that by

his very glancing, clouds poured rains and people who

just thought ill of him would lose their very life. It

was also said that the kings who put the sacred ash

that was sanctified with his mere sight, on their forehead,

showed extraordinary valour in battles and became

victorious these and many such mystic deeds of

Śrī Vyāsayogin, passes through the mind of the king

narasa as he is standing before the radiant ascetic

form of Śrī Vyasa Tīrtha.

Śrī Vyāsa Tīrtha stays at Vijayanagara continuously

for several years. The king visits him daily and receives

his blessings. He is regularly guided by Srī Vyāsayogin

in religious and spiritual matters. The fame of Srī

Vyāsa Tīrtha spreads every where. But, his command

over śāstras and the respectful position that he holds

in the royal court, is not acceptable to many. Many

scholars who have come from the various parts of

the country and also from the other countries express

their desire to make Sāstrartha with him. Though the

king is well aware of the ability of Śrī Vyāsa Tīrtha,

is slightly disturbed. But when Śrī Vyāsa Tīrtha effortlessly

silences, them all his reverence towards him becomes

boundless. The scholars who are thus vanquished by

Sri Vyāsa Tīrtha, do not accept his supremacy, so

easily. Since they know their limitations and the

unparalalled skill of Śrī Vyāsa Tīrtha in the art of

debate, they connive together and under the leadership
