Another latest work on Śrī Vyāsarāja's life is a
small poem composed in Sanskrt by Śrī Vidyāratnākara
Tīrtha a pontiff of Śrī Vyāsarāja Muṭṭ. (1915-40 A.D).
Śrī Vidyaratnākara Tīrtha who was well known for
his erudition was also a good poet. His poem on
Śrī Vyāsa Tīrtha, gives details regarding the life of
Sri Vyāsa Tīrtha, as per the tradition. Among these
three works on Śrī Vyāsa Tīrtha, 'Śrī Vyāsayogicharitam'
of Somanātha stands apart as it differs from the other
two on many points.

Following is a brief summary of 'Śrī Vyāsayogichari-
tam' that contains six chapters.

poets and expresses modesty stating that there
could not be any on
more adventurous than him

his

who has ventured to compose poetry depicting the
life of Sri Vyāsayogin.

The narration commences with the beautiful
description of Badarikāśrama, the most sacred place
which is adorned by Śrī Vedavyāsa. Once, all the
sages approach Śrī Vedavyāsa and convey him their
anguish which is caused from what they have heard
from Nārada the spread of Māyāmāta all over the
world. Consoling the agitated sages, Srī Vedavyāsa says
that the philosophy propagated by Śrī Madhwa is eclipsed
just for the time being and it will again be revived
in a near future by one who will be born as a son
