The Anandarāghava of Rajacuḍāmaṇi Dīkṣita was written
in the court of Raghunatha Nayaka as stated in the pras-
tāvanā. Govinda Dikṣita continued to be the minister of
all these three Kings.¹ Râjacuḍāmaṇi Dīkṣita was the
court-poet of the last. The fact that Rajacūḍāmaṇi
has written the biography of
the biography of Raghunatha called
Raghunathabhūpavijayam is proof sufficient to show
that the major portion of his literary career synchronises
with the reign of Raghunatha. In his Tantrasikhāmaṇi,
Rajacudamani says:
 
धीमान्मान्ये शकस्याब्दे हायने चेश्वराभिधे ।
चूडामणिः कलयते यज्वा तन्त्रशिखामणिम् ॥

which gives 1559 Saka or 1636 A.D. as the date of
the Tantrasikhamani. The date of Rajacūḍāmaņi may
be fixed in the end of the sixteenth century and
beginning of the seventeenth century.

ancestors of Rajacudamani. The
following pedigree is given by the
commentator on the Rukmini-
kalyāṇa.
