Elsewhere also we find that Venkatesa Dikṣita was
his teacher. It is in this work that the author gives
the date of the composition as 1559 S'aka or 1636 A. D.

in the verse:

धीमान्मान्ये शकस्याब्दे हायने चेश्वराबिधे ।
चूडामणिः कलयते यज्वा तन्त्रशिखामणिम् ॥

A manuscript of this work is deposited in the Adyar
Library.

2. Sastradipikavyakhya. The name of Cūdamani's
commentary on the S'astradīpikā is Karpūravartikā.
The author discloses his poetic talent in naming the
work even. The camphor wick alone will brighten the
lamp of S'astra.

3. Manidarpanam. This work ought to be dis-
tinguished from the work of the same name attributed
to his father's authorship by Balayajña. This work is
based upon the Tattvacintāmaņi of Gangesopadhyāya.
A portion of it is available in print.

4. Yuddhakaṇḍacampu. This was intended to form
a supplement to the Rāmāyaṇacampu of Bhoja. It is
familiar to all that Bhoja did not complete his Campu.
It is not known whether he did not live to complete it.
Anyhow the Yuddhakāṇḍa portion was not written and
Rajacudamani is one among the many who wrote that
portion alone. It was completed within the course
of a single night. At the outset we find the verse :

भोजेन रामचरितं ग्रथितं निशयैकया ।
एकेन पूरयत्यह्ना श्रीचूडामणिदीक्षितः ॥
