KISHKINDHAKANDA

Hearing the words of Rama, Sugriva, of

golden-yellow colour, yelled with a terrific-

yell as if piercing the skies.

Hearing his roar which shook all beings,

the angry Vali, being highly incensed, came

out of the city.

Then the auspicious Vali saw the golden-

hued Sugriva. Between them, a terrific

battle ensued like that of Vritra and Indra.

After a while, Raghava saw Sugriva, the

lord of the monkeys, weakening and looking

in all directions again and again.
