but thorny (tilakantṇṭaka) the spines being sharp

(kṣura) and arranged in a circle on nodes (kanta-
ṇṭa-
guccha). The entire plant is very rough (sukhara).

Seeds are red (kokilākṣa) and sticky (picchila) and
used as aphrodisiac (adhyand

is useful in splenomegaly (plihaśatra ) ( and also in
