Indravārun
ruṇī ( Citrullus colocynthis Schrad. ) is

a large creeper or climber (indravallarī ) mostly

found in desert area (marusambhavā). It has yel-

low flowers (pitapusītapuṣpī ) and fruits resembling cow's

eye-ball (gavāksī ) and variegated ( citraā ) eaten by

cows and wild animals (gavādaniī, mrgairvāru ). It

is a potent hydrogogue purgative (indravāruni.
