Nāmarūslender herb (tanvikā) with leaves similar to those
of śāla and deepajñānam
 
slender her ( guhā), long ( dīrghāṅghrī ) and
fib (tanvikā) with leaves similar to those
of śāla and deep ( grouha ), long ( dirghanghri ) and
fibrous ( ams ( aṃśumatī ) root having aroma of vidārī-

kanda ( vidaārigandhā ). It is predominant in proper-

ties of soma and as such acts as rasāyana ( saumyā ),

strengthens the body (sthiraā) and alleviates cardiac

pain ( śūlarogahari ) and oedema ( sī ) and oedema ( śophaghnī ).

३. कुक्कुटी (ध०) -– कुक्कुटशिखावद् रक्तवर्णं पुष्पमस्याः ।
 

४. चिरजीविका (ध०) -– चिरं जीवति; 'दीर्घायुः' इति राजनिघण्टौ ।

५. तूलफला (प०)–- तूलं फलेऽस्याः । 'तूलिनी' इति भावप्रकाशे

इममेवार्थं व्यनक्ति ।
 

६. पिच्छिला (भा०) – पिच्छाऽस्त्यस्याः ।
