Patāṭala ( Stereospermunm suaveolens DC. ) is a big

tree emerged from seeds ( phaleruhā ) and blossom-

ing in spring ( madhudūtī, alivallabhā ). Flowers are

copper-coloured ( tamrapusāmrapuṣpī ) resembling pitcher or

kumbhī flowers ( kumbhipuspīpuṣpī ) with black pedu-

with stable aroma ( sthiragandhā) used for scenting
