४. भूतकेशी (कै०) - भूतानि केशा इव द्देद्यान्यस्याः, भूतघ्नीत्यर्थः ।

वाग्भटोऽपि सुरसादिगणे निर्गुण्ड्यर्थं भूतकेशीति

५. शीतसहः (कै०) — शीतं सहते, उष्णत्वात् ।

६. सिन्दुवारः (भा०)– सिन्दुं प्रस्रवणं वारयतीति; 'स्यन्दू प्रस्रवणे' ।

७. सुगन्धिका (सि० ) – शोभनो गन्धोऽस्याः ।
 

८. सुवहा (भा०) – सुष्ठु वहति गन्धमिति; मलान् सम्यग् वहति शोध-

यतीति वा ।

Nirgundṇḍī ( Vitex negundo Linn. ) is a plant re-

sistant to cold ( śitasaha ) and aromatic ( sugandhikā,

suvahā ). Like that of tulasi. T-the leaf juice is an

efficacious drug ( indrasurasā, indranṇī ) in a number

of ailments ( nirgundṇḍi ). It purifies body ( suvahā ),

checks accumulation of fluid ( sriduvāra ) and elimi-

nates evil organisms ( bhūtakesi ).
