आमा॑ मे॒धा सुरभि॑र्व॒श्वरू॑पा॒ हिर॑ण्यवर्णा जग॑ती जग॒म्या ।
ऊर्जस्वती॒ पय॑सा॒ पिन्व॑माना॒ सा मा॑ मे॒धा सु॒प्रती॑का जुषन्ताम् ॥
ā mām medhā surabhir-viśvarūpā hiránya-varnā jagátī jagamyā ।
ūrjásvatī payásā pinvámānā sā mām medhā supratikā jusantām ॥ 5 ॥
May That Goddess of intelligence who is pervasive like
fragrance (or wish-fulfilling cow), who is capable of
examining all objects, who possesses golden letters (in the
shape of the syllables of the Vedas), who is continuously
present, who is worthy to be adopted to again and again (by
the seekers of the Truth), who possesses flavour and strength,
and who nourishes me with milk and other wealth, come to
me with joyful expression and favour me. (5)
मयि॑ मे॒धां मयि॑ प्र॒जां मय्य॒ग्निस्तेजो॑ दधातु॒
मयि॑ मे॒धां मयि॑ प्र॒जां मयीन्द्र॑ इन्द्रि॒यं द॑धातु॒
मयि॑ मे॒धां मयि॑ प्र॒जां मयि॒ सूर्यो॒ भ्राजो॑ दधातु ।

mayi medhām mayi prajām mayyagnis-tejó dadhātu ।
