playing in swimming baths. These descriptions of the seasons are
full of sentiments (शृङ्गारमय) beautified with unique imagination,
replete with romance and unprecedented. The diction, style of
several great poets, poetic traditions conventions and usages,
artistic elements in Kamandaka and in Varaha Samhita, many of
them have assumed the shape of this kavya. My commentary
has dealt with all of them fully. I therefore did not refer to them
here. The descriptions of seasons here has some resemblance with
similar ones by Kalidasa, Bharavi and Magha. The nature of the
worship of the God of Love (Manmadha) is to be found in the
Telugu (Andhra) Prabhanda 'Chandra Bhanudayam'. In the
6th Sarga the description of flower gathering is sweetest of the
sweet. In the poetic world, poets who have dealt with them, so
profusely, so full of meaning and in so simple and sweet manner,
have yet to searched. This kavya ended with mutual conver-
sations among the confidents of the queen. The rest of the text
is extinct and so created a sense of frustration to the lovers of
art and literature.
 
Of swimming (जलक्रीडावर्णनम् )
 
This has some affinity with the descriptions of Kusa's playing
in waters in Raghuvamsa and also with similar ones by Bharavi
and Magha.
 
Of Sun set and Moon rise
 
In the Kumara Sambhava in canto 8, the descriptions of
Sandhya and the rise of the Moon and in those by Bharavi and
Magha may be said to tally with the descriptions here. The
beauty of imagination capable of perception only by the highest of
intellects is overwhelming in this kavya.
