who succeeded Bukkaraya was Kamparaya alone. His palmystric
features described in the second Sarga, and his other attributes
extoling him as a Mahapurusha, establish Kamparaya as
emperor of great longevity. Consistent with it, the poetess descri-
bed this Kamparaya as "हरिहरात्मजमेव समालिखन्, ", thus proving
that Kamparaya is also known as 'Hari Hara'. (Sarga sloka
71). When royal family ladies perform Manmadha Puja (Lord of
Love) instead of painting Manmadha they painted Kamparaya
who resembles Manmadha. The word "आत्मज" speaks of
Manmadha. This is the appropriate commentary for it.

When Harihara was Kamparaya, it may be doubted how
Devaayi could be his mother. Gaurambika must be another name
for Devaayi. When Kamparaya had another name as Harihara-
raya, why not Devaayi have another name? It is not impossible.

Though historians say that Kampa who reigned over Nellore
region is the son of Sangamuni, the possibility of his being Kam-
pana II is not ruled out. The same is the case with Sangamuni.
This great Kavya indicates that these were assisting Bukkaraya
in administrative matters. (Sarga 2 sloka 42)

Champaraju

Champaraju is a forest king. He became the king of the
Dravidians administering Tondamandalam from Kanchipuram.
He was assisting and playing to the tune of the Muslim ruler. It
is the mandate of Bukkaraja, to first subdue and wipe off this
staunch satellite of the Muslim ruler, conquer Kanchipuram, stabi-
lise and then put an end to thus weakened Muslim ruler. Kampa-
raja executed it to the letter. This battle was fought at Virinchi-
puram on the shores of Paleru at Kanchi. (slokas 49, 50, Sar. 4).
