THE MAHABHARATA

Those youthful kings with ear-rings and
(other) ornaments, looking at each other in
rivalry, and saying "Draupadi is for me
only ", jumped up from their seats.

Then those assembled kings showed
their valour one after another for obtaining
Draupadi; that firm bow, they could not
string even with their minds.

When the kings had turned back from the
act of stringing the bow, Arjuna, keeping
Krishna in his mind, took the bow.
