Arjuna exhibited to his teacher his

सहजं कवचं बिभ्रत्कुण्डलोद्योतिताननः ।

विवेश रङ्गं विस्तीर्णं कर्णः परपुरञ्जयः ।

सधनुर्बद्धनिस्त्रिंशः पादचारीव पर्वतः ॥

Then, when Arjuna's performance was

almost finished, there entered the spacious

arena, like a mountain on feet, the valorous

Karna, wearing the armour with which he

was born, his face lit by ear rings, with

a bow (in his hand) and a sword tied (to

his waist).

प्रणामं द्रोणकृपयोर्नात्याहृदृतमिवाकरोत् ॥
