ASRAMAVASIKA PARVA

दावाग्निना समायुक्ते स च राजा पिता तव ।
प्रययौ सञ्जयो धीमान् हिमवन्तं महीघरम् ॥'
Narada-
" Scion of Kuru ! after you had
returned from your stay in the forest,
there arose a
wind and there was a big
forest-fire. The blessed Gandhari and
your mother Kunti were consumed by the
forest-fire; and so also, your uncle, the
king (Dhritarashtra ). The intelligent Sanjaya
went away to the Himalaya mountain."
एतच्छ्रुत्वा तु सर्वेषां शोकस्समभवन्महान् ।
समाश्वास्य तु राजानं नारदोऽप्यगमत्तदा ॥
On hearing this, everybody grieved
very much. After consoling King
Yudhisthira, Narada departed.
॥ इत्याश्रमवासिकपर्व समाप्तम् ॥
THUS ENDS THE ASRAMAVASIKA PARVA.
