THE MAHABHARATA

"For the Kauravas it is that this very
dreadful calamity has come up, which, if
overlooked, will annihilate the world.

" If you wish, this calamity can be put
down; I think peace is not impossible in
this affair.

"King, peace is dependent on you,
as well as on me; pacify your sons; I will
pacify the other party.

After giving to the Pandavas their due
paternal share, you enjoy along with your
sons your pleasures, with your objects
Machieved.
