निशम्य वाक्यं तु जनार्दनस्य
समाददे वाक्यमथाग्रजोऽस्य ।
'प्रियं च मे स्याद्यदि तत्र कश्चिद
व्रजेच्छमार्
अयुद्धमाकाङ्क्षत कौरवाणां
साम्नैव दुर्योधनमाश्वसध्वम् ॥'
Hearing Krishna's words, his elder
brother (Balarama) spoke : " I shall be
pleased if somebody would go there for
securing peace between the Kauravas and
the Pandavas; wish for settlement without
war with the Kauravas; conciliate Duryodhana
by pacific means alone."
