VIRATA PARVA

211

-
र्

Laughing at the Kauravas, the great

Gandiva-bowed Arjuna blew his conch; and

recovering the cattle and saluting all his

elders with arrows, he returned in

high spirits.

Stripped of their clothes, the Kauravas

then turned back and went away.

The Virata king who commanded the

army (which went to the Trigarta country)

also entered the city in glee along with the

four Pandavas, after winning back the cattle.

Then, the swift messengers sent by

Uttara reached the Virata capital and

announced the victory.
