Vikarna (a son of Dhritarashtra)-

"Kauravas, what I think

this matter, I shall speak: this irreproach-

able Draupadi is

Yudhisthira, who himself had already been
won; she was

Sakuni who wanted her as the wager;
considering all this, who himself had already been

एतच्छ्रुत्वा महान्नादस्सभ्यानामुदतिष्ठत ।

विकर्णणं शंसमानानां सौबलं चापि निन्दताम् ॥
 

On hearing this, great noise arose among

those assembled there, praising Vikarna and

condemning Sakuni.
 

 
तस्मिन्नुपरते शब्दे राधेय इदमब्रवीत् ।
•átíðar gjozt arar agarar a grozà:1

'कीर्तिता द्रौपदी वाचा अनुज्ञाता च पाण्डवैः।
भवत्य विजिता केन हेतुनैषा मता तव ॥
 

When that noise had died down, Karna

said this: "Draupadi was mentioned by

name and she (as stake) was accepted by

the Pandavas; on what ground is she

viewed by you as not won?
