and how propitious to Cupid, with fragrant breeze

gently blowing and with the charming moon just rising.
 

 
43. "The lord of night hugs the eastern region to

his bosom in an ardent embrace, and with his nail-like

rays unties her braid of hair which incarnates darkness.
