वभ्रुवत् - like a cat. The cat drinks milk, etc., stealthily

without any regard to the master. The mayavādins also

have robbed Brahman of His glory and attributes. also

means a fox. In this case the mayavāyavādins are compared

to a cunning fox since they employ crafty arguments to

support the untenable identity of Brahman and jiva.

भ्रान्तिभेदाभाव सः- The māyāvādins argue that the five-fold

difference (पञ्चभेद ) so evident to all of us is only illusion

(Iभ्रान्ति). The acācārya has clearly brought out the reality of this

difference in his works. The five-fold difference is that

between 1) jiva and jiva 2) jada and jada 3) jiva and jada

4) jada and ÏĪśa and 5) jiva and IsaĪśa . acc. to Paramaśruti.

जीवेश्वरभिदा चैव जडेश्वरभिदा तथा ।

जीवभेदोमिथश्चैव जडजीवभिदा तथा ।

In this verse the poet says that Sri Madhva, the third
avatar of Sri
avatār of Śrī Vaāyu, is worshipped by the gods and the

best of men as a result of which they attain Vaikuntha
ṭha
where they are served by the attendants of Lord SriŚrī Hari

in accordance with gradation.
