of our desired ends.
 
The hero of the Stuti is Śrī Väyu, who plays a vital
role in the affairs of all. If he is inside our bodies, we
live and if he goes out, we die. He is a member of the
Rju group and Paraśuklatraya, who will ever be pure and
never do any wrong in thought, word and deed, both in
his original form and avatars of Śrī Hanūmān, Bhima and
Madhva. He is Jeevottama, the greatest of all jivas and
a deputy of Vishņu in fulfilling the latter's mission, Where
Väyu is, there is Visbnu and where Vishnu is, there is Vāyu.
Compare M. B. T. Nirnaya 5-36 and the avatārs of Rama
and Krishna. In the 16th Chapter of Vayupurāṇa, Śri Hari
says that He will not accept anything without Vayu and
so everything must be dedicated to him through Vayu
 
alone.
 
Hence we have been adding the saving phrase-Bhārati
Ramana Mukhya prāṇāntargata= the indweller of the Chief
Vayu, the Lord of Bharati '-in each and every dedication
of ours to Sri Hari. Otherwise it will be lost in transit
and usurped by the asuras.
 
Śri Vayu's superiority over all other gods is established
in five of the ten Upanishads and Baiitta Sukta etc., sing
his glories. Last but not least he is the recommending
authority for moksha and the usher of the deserved, into the
presence of Hari.
So there is no Madhva but chants the
Väyustuti.
 
The author of Sri Vayustuti is Sri Trivikrama Pandit, a
veteran advaita scholar of Sri Madhva's times. He met Śrī
