विष्णुर्विरिञ्चो गिरिश इन्द्रो वायुर्यमो रविः ।

एते चान्ये च विबुधाः प्रभवो वरशापयोः ।

देहे भवन्ति नृपतेः सर्वदेवमयो नृपः ।

तस्मान्मां कर्मभिर्विप्रा यजध्वं गतसत्सराः ॥'
 
AN
" Vishnu, Brahma, Siva, Indra, Vayu,
Yama, Surya, -these and other gods, who
have it in their power to bless or curse,
are present in the body of the king; the
king is the embodiment of all gods.

इति तेऽसत्कृतास्तेन चुक्रुधू रूढमन्यवः ।

निजघ्नुर्हुङ्कृतैर्वेनं हृतमच्युतनिन्दया ।

Thus insulted by Vena, the sages grew

angry; and with their anger mounting

up, they struck down with the (fatal)

sound of Hum', Vena, (already) killed

by his insulting the imperishable Lord.

बाहुभ्यां मध्थ्यमानाभ्यां मिथुनं समपद्यत ॥

विष्णोः कला पृथुर्नाम महाराजः पृथुश्रवाः ।

अर्चिश्वच तत्परा हि श्रीरनुजज्ञेऽनपायिनी ॥
