SRIMAD BHAGAVATA
कालेन सोऽजो हृदयेऽवभात-
मपश्यतैकं पुरुषं शयानम् ।
अस्तौविसर्गाभिमुखस्तमीड्य-
मव्यक्तवर्त्मन्यभिवेशितात्मा ॥
After a time, that creator beheld that
one Being who was lying (asleep) shining
in his own heart. Desiring to create, he
fastened his mind on that Being in the
inscrutable realm and praised that
praiseworthy Lord:
' रूपं यदेतदवतारशतैकबीजं
भूतेन्द्रियात्मकमदस्त उपाश्रितोऽस्मि ।
सोऽयं समस्तजगतां सुहृदेक आत्मा
सत्त्वेन यन्मृडयते भगवान्भगेन ।
तेनैव मे दृशमनुस्पृशताद्यथाऽहं
स्रक्ष्यामि कर्मशमलं च यथा विजह्याम् ॥'
