स साधु मेने नचिरेण तक्षका-
नलं प्रसक्तस्य विरक्तिकारणम् ॥
And the king then brooded over, with
a very depressed heart, that despicable
act committed by him and considered
welcome the fire of (the serpent) Takshaka
as a means to dispassion, for him who
had much attachment.
अथो विहायेमममुं च लोकं
विमर्शितो हेयतया पुरस्तात् ।
कृष्णाङ्घ्रिसेवामधिमन्यमानः
उपाविशत् प्रायममर्त्यनद्याम् ॥
