पूर्वेधुरस्ति महती कुलदेवियात्रा
यस्यां बहिर्नववधूर्गिरिजामुपेयात् ॥
"On the day previous to the marriage,
there is a grand procession to worship
the patron goddess of the family, in
which the new bride would come out and
proceed to worship Parvati.
यर्ह्यम्बुजाक्ष न लभेय भवत्प्रसादं
जह्यामसून व्रतकृशान्शतजन्मभिस्स्यात् ॥'
"O lotus-eyed Lord! if I do not obtain
your grace, I would (repeatedly) give up
my life, delicate with austerities, through
(even) a hundred births, if only I could
obtain your grace at the end."
वैदर्भ्यास्स तु सन्देशं निशम्य यदुनन्दनः ।
आरुह्य स्यन्दनं शौरिर्द्विजमारोप्य तूर्णगैः ।
आनर्तादेकरात्रेण विदर्भानगमद्धयैः ॥
