AS TORTOISE.
युद्धेऽसुरैर्बाध्यमाना महेन्द्रवरुणादयः ।
सर्व विज्ञापयांचक्रुः प्रणताः परमेष्ठिने ।
Harassed by the demons in battle,
Indra, Varuna and other gods bowed to
Brahma and informed him of everything
about (their plight).
संस्मरन्पुरुष बेधाः सह देवैः [अरिन्दम]।
अजितस्य पदं साक्षाज्जगाम तमसः परम् ॥
Thinking of the Supreme Being,
Brahma, along with the gods, went to the
very abode of the Lord, the abode that is
beyond darkness.
