SRIMAD BHAGAVATA
समं मनो धत्स्व न सन्ति विद्विषः
ऋतेऽजितादात्मन उत्पथस्थितात्
तद्धि ह्यनन्तस्य महत्समर्पणम् ॥'
भारत सरक
"Leave off this demoniac nature of yours;
keep your mind equanimous; (really) there
are no foes, no foes except your own unsub-
dued self, that is on the wrong path. Verily,
this is the greatest offering to the eternal
Lord."

हिरण्यकशिपुः-
"व्यक्तं त्वं मर्तुकामोऽसि योऽतिमात्
यस्त्वया मन्दभाग्योक्तो मदन्यो जगदीश्वरः ।
क्वासौ, यदि स सर्वत्र कस्मात्स्तम्भे न दृश्यते ॥
Hiranyakasipu
"Clearly you wish to die, you who
brag too much. You unlucky (lad) ! that
other master of the universe besides
myself whom you spoke of, where is he ?
If he is everywhere, why is he not visible
in (this) pillar ?"
