Thus speaking to each other, the two
chiefs of the warriors fought.
जग्रास स समासाद्य व
भित्त्वा वज्रेण तत्कुक्

Vritra got at Indra and swallowed him
along with his elephant. The powerful
Indra tore his stomach with his thunder-
bolt, and getting out, forcefully chopped
off his head, like the summit of a
mountain.
