अवदद्यस्य पितरो देवाः सप्रश्रयं [नृप] ॥
स एव हि ददौ भाग परोक्षमसुरान्प्रति ।
यजमानोऽवहद्भागं मातृस्नेहवशानुगः ॥
That Visvarupa had three heads. In
his sacrifice, he pronounced loudly, in
sight of all and with modesty, the share
of the offering due to the gods, who were
his kin on his father's side; and the same
person gave the demons their share,
secretly; performing his sacrifice,
Visvarupa gave their share (to the
demons), impelled by his love for his
mother.*
तद्देवहेलनं तस्य धर्मालीकं सुरेश्वरः ।
आलक्ष्य तरसा. भीतस्तच्छीर्षाण्यच्छिन्द्रुषा ॥
