ASHTAVAKRA SAMHITA

12. What is activity or inactivity,
liberation or bondage, to me who am ever
immutable and indivisible and established
in Self?

[Immutable-Kutastha means 'remaining like a
heap (Kuta)'; hence, immutable and eternal.

Or. Kuta means a thing which is good to all
appearance but evil within. Accordingly it refers to
the seed of Samsâra-including Avidyâ and other
things, which is full of evil within, designated by
various terms such as Mâyâ etc. Kutastha, therefore,
means "That which is seated in Mâyâ as its locus.']
