<p lang="sa">अत्राऽनुमितत्वस्यसमासेगुणीभावादप्राधान्यम् । अतो न विधेय-
त्वम् । तस्मादभिषेकजनिताऽतिपुण्यमनुमितमिति युक्तम् ।</p>
<p lang="sa">कर्मधारये यथा--
सरसिजसुन्दरवदने ! नयनतरङ्गस्तवोल्लासी ।
मदनस्याऽपरमोहनबाण इवाऽन्तर्विमोहयति ॥</p>
<p lang="sa">अत्राऽपरत्वमुत्प्रेक्ष्यं तस्य समासे गुणीभावादप्राधान्यम् ।</p>
<p lang="sa">नञ्समासे यथा नैषधीयचरिते--
निमीलितादक्षियुगाच्च निद्रया हृदोऽपि बाह्येनेद्रयमौनमुद्रितात् ।
अदर्शि सङ्गोप्य कदाऽप्यवीक्षितो रहस्यमस्याः स महन्महीपतिः ॥</p>
<p lang="sa">अत्राऽवीक्षित इत्यत्र प्रसज्यप्रतिषेधो विधेयत्वेन वक्तुमुचितस्त-
स्य समासे गुणीभावात्पर्युदासत्वेन विधेयत्वाऽनवगमः । यदुक्तम्--</p>
<p lang="sa">अप्राधान्यं विधेर्यत्र प्रतिषेधे प्रधानता !
प्रसज्यप्रतिषेधोऽसौ क्रियया सह यत्र नञ् ॥</p>
<p lang="sa">तथा चाऽत्र निषेधस्याऽप्राधान्यादविधेयत्वम् ।</p>
<p lang="sa">यत्र तुनिषेधस्य प्राधान्यं, तत्र यथा--
त्वद्देहध्युतयः सरन्ति परितो नो विद्युतस्त्वद्भुजे
पर्यस्ता चिकुरावलीयमधुना नो शैवलानां चयः ।</p>
<p lang="sa">हारस्ते हृदये कुरङ्गनयने ! नाऽसौ मृणालीलता</p>
<p lang="sa">कोऽयं चेतसि विभ्रमस्तव सखि । त्रासः परित्यज्यताम् ॥
अत्र नञर्थ एव विधेयः । पर्युदासलक्षणं तु--</p>
<verse lang="sa">प्रधानत्वं विधेर्यत्र प्रतिषेधेऽप्रधानता ।
पर्युदासः स विज्ञेयो यत्रोत्तरपदेन नञ् ॥</verse>
<verse lang="sa">जघानाऽकुपितो लोके सकलान् प्रतिभूपतीन् ।
समस्तधरणीभारं बभाराऽयमपीडितः ॥</verse>
<p lang="sa">अत्राऽकुपितत्वाद्यनूद्य  प्रतिभूपतिहननाद्येव विधेयमतो गुणभाषो
नञर्थस्याऽभिष्ठः ।</p>
