the Gujarati dictionaries do not record मेष as an abusive term, the
Bharaṭaka would seem to give the Gujarati equivalent of what
was known to him as a term of invective from Hindi. But it is
equally possible that in former days मेष was used in Gujarati with
the same signification as in Hindi and in Marathi.

कोष्टिका (i.e. ॰ ष्ठि ॰ ) = Guj. H. Mar. कोठो a granary, a store-room. 15, 23.
ख़रटिक in  भूतख़रटिक  dirty (or : lean?) asa spectre; cp. Hem., Deśī  II, 79: खरडिअं रुक्षं भग्नं च; Guj. खरडवुं                 to be-smear, soil; खरडियुं a drought;  खरड़कुं  a   streamlet. 10.
